The founder and chief executive officer of Optimum Group, Inc. (OGI), Omar (Amr) Elrahimy leads the venture capital and holding company in bridging the gaps between businesses, investors, and idea owners. Omar Elrahimy guides OGI in facilitating mutually beneficial relationships, connecting investors with strategic partners, and providing opportunities for success to entrepreneurs and struggling businesses.

Born in Cairo, Egypt, Mr. Elrahimy displayed an interest in business from a young age. He created and sold key chains as a child, investing his profits into subsequent ventures. He also interned at his father’s office as a teenager. After several years at the Lycée La Liberté Heliopolis in Cairo, he emigrated to the United States with his family in 2001 and established his first business at age 17. While working, he completed the construction management program through Montgomery College and the University of Maryland.

The recipient of numerous awards for his personal and professional achievements, Amr Elrahimy earned recognition from the local Chamber of Commerce and the United States government for his efforts in assisting communities affected by natural disasters. Outside of work, he enjoys playing drums and keyboards and racing motorcycles.
